Is it a fit?
Workload Fit Pilot / Privacy details
Decide in five minutes whether this is worth a conversation.
Clarté qualifies on measured workload shape, not ambition. Read the three lists below — if your workload sits in the last one, we will tell you the same thing in a call, so you may as well know now.
Self-qualification
Three honest lists.
Clarté is narrow by design. These lists are the same criteria we apply when we review a submission — no intake score, no optimism.
STRONG FIT
- Typical queries read bounded partitions, recent periods, or selected columns.
- Different roles need different row, column, or dataset access.
- Kubernetes and object storage are already accepted in your operating model.
- Deployment control matters as much as query performance.
- There is a named owner and a real trigger — a renewal, a cost programme, a hosting requirement.
WORTH A DISCUSSION
- A bounded workload slice matters inside a larger mixed estate.
- A distributed engine or warehouse mostly serves filtered BI queries today.
- The trigger is real but the workload measurements do not exist yet.
- European-cloud, self-hosted, or managed-PostgreSQL constraints need to be verified.
POOR FIT — WE WILL SAY SO
- Petabyte-wide scans are routine, not exceptional.
- Large distributed joins and shuffles dominate the workload.
- Thousands of simultaneous interactive queries are required.
- Sub-second streaming is the primary requirement.
- A zero-infrastructure managed SaaS is the preferred operating model.
Prepare
What makes the first answer useful.
Six facts let us give you a concrete first response instead of a discovery call. Estimates are fine — “unknown” is a valid answer in the form.
- 01The largest analytical table involved.
- 02What representative queries actually read — period, partitions, columns.
- 03Typical and tail bytes scanned, where known.
- 04Peak concurrent queries and the latency the business really requires.
- 05Deployment constraints that cannot move.
- 06The decision or event that makes this matter now.
Do not send raw SQL, credentials, confidential business data, or sensitive personal data — workload shape is enough.
